Elderly people always say time goes so fast and this year in particular I will agree with them…there’s definitely some other wisdom there for us too!
With all of your help it has been a wonderful year here at Gaga, some terrific placements with The Harpoons landing in a major USA Ford spot, a version of Vaudeville Smash’s "Zinedine Zidane" landing in Columbia, Mexico and Brazil, an exceptional achievement in Rohin Jones scoring his first feature doco in 'Cast From The Storm’, Big Scary’s Tom Iansek winning no less than 'Best Male Artist' and we managed to fight the good fight and land a Timber Timbre track in a Westpac spot of all things!
We’ve welcomed aboard some exceptional songwriters in Elise Higgins from Fait, UK’s Foals, Sydney pianist Sophie Hutchings, The Parking Lot Experiments and it’s been a privilege to welcome Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and The Kills into the fold.
As with all of our years we’re spoilt rotten with some fine releases this year from Ainslie Will’s ‘Oh The Gold’ EP, we’re blissing out to “Constellations” thank you, the incredible pop charged 'In The Fog' EP from Bec Sandridge and we’ve all been mesmerised by Father John Misty’s "I Love You Honeybear"! Oh and if you love Father John Misty, wrap your self up in Ryan Downey’s "Tidings" for the evening…yeah!
So thank you all for being a part of this mixed bag of lollies, each and everyone of you a tasty contributor to what is Gaga and we look forward to presenting you all with more opportunities in the new year.
From all of us here at Gaga we’d like to wish you a Merry Christmas and here’s to a happy and peaceful year ahead!
