On the Roof: Bec Sandridge

We're very happy to welcome to Gaga Pub rising young folk singer-songwriter Bec Sandridge. Bec hails from the small, seaside New South Wales town of Stanwell Park, but her stately brand of folk has seen her develop a following well beyond her sleepy township.
Bec's debut ep, What was Left, released in early 2011, belied its creator's tender years, its three songs showcasing the effortless intimacy of her songs and her unique voice –– an instrument at once fragile and strong. In 2011, after deferring uni, Bec set off on a well received two month tour of the UK. In early 2012, Bec released her second ep, Lyons and Bees, another rich, gorgeous clutch of folk-pop.
To support the release, Bec headed to the US, where our friends at Lo-Fi Music caught up with her in the famed Venice, CA -- home of muscle beach, and new home to Google -- to shoot a great rooftop performance of Over The Sea, one of the many highlights from Lyons and Bees.
