New Animal Collective single (and maybe record)
Posted: 18 October, 2009
Nothing can stop Animal Collective, it seems. In the wake of the awesome news that they'll be playing large shows in small Australian farming towns, the prolific threesome have put together a 10" single for 'Brothersport', Merriweather Post Pavilion's heartbreaking, gymnastic closer. (The B-side will a live cut of 'Bleeding'.)
But there's more: a few days ago, Pitchfork reported that Amazon now has a listing for a new Animal Collective record, which, if it turns out to be true, will be their seventh album proper. Entitled Fall Be Kind, the record is due to be released on December 8, just a few days before the band lights up the stage at Meredith. We'll keep you posted.
