Blow Up Records is an independent, London-based music label. Blow Up was founded by DJ Paul Tunkin, who also founded a club of the same name, in 1994 –– an age ago, in label terms –– and since then has been home to an always surprising and eclectic collection of music that ranges from 60s pop to New Wave to modern electronica.
The Blow Up label has put out a number of well received compilations, such as the ground-breaking 'Exclusive Blend' music library series, 'Blow Up A-Go-Go: Dancefloor Classics' and several series of limited seven inches featuring bands from across Europe and the UK.
Blow Up released the first Add N to X album, and have put out records by Big Boss Man, The Bongolian, Baltic Fleet, Silvery, Neon Plastix, Alfa 9 and Mockingbird, Wish Me Luck, to name just a few. In addition to their label duties, the busy Blow Up team have been running the legendary Blow Up Club night since 1993.
In recent times, Blow Up have had their music featured in The Mighty Boosh and this Renault TVC. Check out some of their artists below.
